Forget U2 & Hannah Montana in 3D -- How about *TWINS* in 3D !?!

At Week 20, we're more than halfway there! They are all doing well and are very healthy: the girl, the boy, the Mom. Dad is hanging in there as well.

During the sonogram, on the video monitor, our girl could be seen kicking our boy a little bit on the head (don't worry, he's protected by the amniotic membrane). Looks like she'll make a good wife... and he'll make a good husband someday.

Enjoy these sonogram pics, including a couple in 3D... (For a larger image, click the picture).

One of Each ... How Cool!

That's right -- our 16-week sonogram gave strong indications that one of our twins is a girl and one is a boy. We'll take two healthy babies of either gender, but one of each is extra awesome!

Now ... heeeeeeeere's Baby B - aka "The Girl"

And heeeeeeeere's Baby A - aka "The Boy"

The twins are healthy and moving around quite a bit.

At 12 Weeks, Introducing.... Baby "A" and Baby "B"

The 2 little ones are doing just fine, thank you! These prints don't quite show what the live ultrasound video monitor showed: two little beings bopping around, moving their little arms and legs, waving tiny hands and feet.

Baby "A" was very active during the ultrasound. Baby "B" must have been resting and didn't move much at first, but got going before long.

Baby B had a heart rate of 160 and was around 6.8cm in length. Baby A's heart rate clocked in at 152 and the baby's length was 6.2cm.
The doctor says all looks great. Mom is starting to show, but just a little. Dad is showing big time; he's looking about 7 months pregnant at this point.

It's Hard on *Everyone* ...

Twin pregnancy is toughest on Mom, but everyone in the household sometimes gets a little pooped out. Here is Leo the kitty taking a much needed cat nap with Mommy...

Gummy Bears!

8-week ultrasound: the twins look awesome! Doc says everything is progressing wonderfully. "Right now they're about the size of gummy bears," says the doc -- but Mom & Dad are certain they're much sweeter than candy...

Help Wanted Ad: Parents Needed

A colleague of Carla's forwarded this:

Parent Job Description

Is it too late to quit??

You're getting VERY Sleeeepyyyyy...

Fatigue is one of the primary symptoms of early pregnancy and Mom (aka Carla) is sleeping quite a lot -- sometimes as much as twelve to fourteen hours a day! They say symptoms can be twice as onerous with twins; wonder why? Carla says it's because there are two extra beings "sucking the life out of her." Bob (aka "Dad") adds that "there are actually three extra beings sucking the life out of you -- if you include me." That Dad, what a comedian.

Carla also has bouts with nausea, another common symptom, but she has yet to bark at ants. And sometimes when she gets up too fast from a sitting position, she feels dizzy and light headed.

Ultrasound shows T-W-O

What an amazing sight! The sonogram shows what looks like two little dots, but you could see their little hearts beating...
